Help us rekindle Islam to people who were forced to suppress it (ZAKAH ELIGIBLE)Erseke, Albania

In the heart of Southern Albania, a dream is taking shape – the establishment of a vibrant Muslim community centered in Ereseke- the only major region without a masjid in the entire country.

Albania is located in the Southern Balkans, right next to Greece. Historically, Albania was a flourishing Muslim-majority country under the Ottoman rule for over five centuries, producing some of the most successful Muslim leaders and scholars, including the renown Muhadith, Shaikh Al-Albani, may Allah be pleased with him. However, this beautiful country went through a dark period that almost erased all traces of Islam. For 50 years, the Albanian people endured the longest communist regime in modern history.

The Mission:

Our project encompasses a three-stage approach to building a long lasting model community:

Stage 1: Uplifting Our Imaam

At the heart of our community stands our beloved Imaam, a beacon of guidance and inspiration. He is the center of the longevity of this community. We ask you for your help in securing him and completing the last piece of our project. The funds raised will support him, sustain weekly classes, fund community dawah activities, and contribute towards our community growth plan.

Stage 2: Purchasing the Land

As we lay the groundwork for our future, Stage 2 of our project focuses on securing the land upon which the Ereseke Masjid will stand. This stage represents the physical manifestation of our vision – a permanent home for our community, a sanctuary for prayer, and a gathering center for the community at large. We will launch this campaign at a later point once we have stabilized our Imaam's financial situation, allowing him to fully dedicate himself to the realization of our shared vision.

Stage 3: Securing the Building Funds

With the foundation of our community strengthened through the support of our Imaam, we move forward to Stage 3: securing the necessary funds for the construction of the Ereseke Masjid. Alhamduillah, we have already secured the building funds working with an Endowment Organization. They are waiting for us to finalize the details surrounding the Imaam and the location of the masjid.

Will you join us in bringing our vision to life?

Support Our Imaam: Donate generously to alleviate our Imaam's financial burden and honor his dedication to our community.
Stay Engaged: Follow our progress and stay updated on future fundraising campaigns as we work towards securing the land for the Ereseke Masjid.
Spread the Word: Share our project with friends, family, and fellow community members. Together, we can amplify our impact and bring our vision to fruition.

We are confident that Allah Azzawajal will give us success in our project. We have done a lot of work over the last 3 years. Here are some details on what we've done:

Re-established the sunnah of Qurbani distribution (hasn't been done in the region properly for over 70 years). Since 2021, we have distributed over 10,000kg (nearly 23,000 pounds) of Qurbani in Erseke and surrounding villagesDonated livestock grazing freely in the mountains. 100% of this was distributed to the needy. ..
Established a Musallah in the city center with Friday Jummah lead by visiting student of knowledge.

Provide monthly stipends to 3 imaams in the region (including the Ereseke Imaam). Check out this short film of our beloved imaams discussing the project (CLICK HERE)
