Jason followed Moo to see what he was worried about, and as he entered the kitchen he saw a strange light on the yard. As he walked closer he saw that the neighbors shed was on fire. He ran to get the fire extinguisher and as he tried to squelch the flames, he saw the fire had jumped the fence and the paint on their roof was bubbling. He ran to Katherine to alert her to get 7 week old Teddy and get outside. Katherine ran with the baby in her arms to get their friend Troy who lived in their basement. From across the street, they watched in horror as their house burnt. They spent the restless night at my parents’ home in Edmonds. With Teddy safe with my mom, Katherine and Jason returned to their home in the morning. As they walked through they found that Moo had perished in the wreckage, and their home was lost entirely.
