The historic Cody Theatre was built in 1936 in downtown Cody, Wyoming. After 89 years of lighting up main street with its bulb lights and original neon&#39;s, the massive marquee is in need of serious electrical and structural repair. &nbsp;Summer 2024, with the guidance of a structural engineer, we were able to halt and temporarily fix the visible &quot;sagging&quot; issue that began in July 2024 with cables to ensure its safety. Unfortunately, due to the weight and abruptness of the initial sag that happened, extensive damage occurred to the facade/tiles of the front of the building. Also unfortunately summer 2024, our neon&#39;s on the east side of the marquee were vandalized when someone jumped up from the sidewalk and broke the glass causing that entire side of the marquee neon&#39;s to be unfunctional.&nbsp; As you can imagine, the cost to fix this all is astronomical. We do NOT want to lose the iconic marquee, neon&#39;s, or change the look but want to restore the historic marquee back to its former glory, repair the damages that have been done.&nbsp; We LOVE being located right on Cody&#39;s historic main street but as this is also a state highway, we have learned this creates many more loops, red tape, delays, and out of pocket costs needed to begin the repairs.
