Your hard-earned contributions will go toward making our campaign more visible and voicing our messaging even louder.As Horry County continues to grow and expand westward of the Atlantic Ocean, current and future residents deserve the necessity for SMART Infrastructure: Embracing technology, sustainable building practices i.e., traffic studies, school overcrowding, increasing emergency facilities and personnel, affordable housing with green spaces (reducing carbon footprint), energy efficient homes, expansion of public transportation. These things can ensure our communities are resilient, efficient, and ready for the future. Flooding Mitigation: Our Horry County has faced significant flood challenges over the years. Our families, homes, and livelihoods are at risk every time a storm approaches. This very crucial that we address the issue head-on by investing in comprehensive flood management and mitigation plans. Protecting homes and people from the devastation of flooding must be a priority. Reducing Emergency Response Time: every second counts in any emergency situation. We must invest in emergency services, ensuring they have the resources, training, technology, and infrastructure needed to reach everyone in distress swiftly. Planning and Zoning: As communities continue to develop, Horry County must revisit/amend previously approved zoning for Heavy or Limited Industrial zones located near residential communities. This could be creating long-term unknown health concerns for residents neighboring these types of “non-conforming” facilities.With your contribution to this campaign, we will be able to purchase more road signs, palm cards, airways, billboards, and print ads.
