Thank you for being a part of our 5 for $500 program!    You were invited as part of a friend's, colleague's or family member's drive to inspire 5 people to donate $500 each and help us reach our goals of helping combat wounded veterans through the game of golf! The INSPIRING WARRIORS GOLF program works with wounded service members and a select staff of board members, PGA professionals, and supporters from the world of golf. In adaptive golf, there are many potential challenges far different than a normal week of instruction. Assistance is a true need during the week dealing with amputations, service animals, emotional issues, and more. The need for on-going physical and mental rehabilitation is so significant, and there are so many wounded service members that need inspiration in their life to keep going. We see as a part of our mission – to join our community in the never-ending battle to reduce the tragic number of suicides that exists in the wounded and veteran community. <hr /> The mission of <a href="https://inspiringwarriorsgolf.org/" style="color:inherit;text-decoration:inherit;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit" target="_blank">Inspiring Warriors Golf (IWG)</a> is to inspire combat wounded veterans through the game of golf, add organized social & structured group events and then complement it all with focused life coaching to provide long-lasting & meaningful inspiration to them. This multi-pronged effort has proven to be extremely successful and a good platform to be duplicated around the country on a much larger scale. The CFAC program provided injured veterans with the opportunity to caddy for PGA TOUR professionals in Pro-Am events on the PGA TOUR. Through this program, CFAC developed strong relationships with many significantly injured veterans from around the country, as well as with several current and retired Senior Military Officials from all branches of the Armed Services. This first-hand experience with wounded veterans provided him with great insight into the needs of this special group of brave heroes relative to how the game of golf could impact their lives in a positive way. As part of the program growth initiative, IWG is now partnered with The Warrior’s Journey (TWJ) headquartered in Springfield, MO. TWJ works to raise awareness and create preventative resources to help educate and prepare our warriors for their time in the military and beyond. There are great organizations that help warriors with the physical wounds of combat, but often the invisible wounds go unrecognized and far too often lead to brokenness, addiction, and suicide. TWJ specializes in recognizing and addressing these invisible wounds. TWJ has saved over 1,900 veteran suicide attempts and has had over 2.5 million veteran interactions.
