Take Action for Acupuncture Th Florida Health Alliance PAC legislative goal is to update the Acupuncture Practice Act (FS 457). &nbsp;This has not been done since 1999, and now is needed to strengthen and advance current Florida acupuncture practice. &nbsp;In 2024 we moved our bill through the House, in 2025 and 2026 we had hearings in the Senate, now &nbsp;we need to move it through the House and the Senate both to get it to pass.Much has changed since 1999:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Insurance companies have stopped paying tor E&amp;M codes.&nbsp; &nbsp; &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;The Legislature tried to take your title in 2023.&nbsp; &nbsp; &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Nationally, and in Florida, Chiropractors, Athletic Trainers, &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;MDs, Physical Therapists, Nurses and now Ocuupational&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Therapists are ALL needling with filiform needles with very&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; little training. Your Florida Practice Needs Protecting &amp; UpdatingSafeguard your scope of practice and protect your professional title.If we don&rsquo;t include the following in our statute, they could be lost.
