At K9 Freedom Pathways, we have built a rescue model around dogs who need more than placement alone. This includes dogs who have been overlooked, traumatized, abused, shut down, or are struggling with aggression and other serious behavioral challenges. We partner with rescues and shelters that want to help these dogs but may not have the specialized resources or expertise their cases require. The dogs in our care receive the time, individualized training, rehabilitation, and love they need to succeed. They live alongside us, allowing us to truly understand them and work through the reasons they have struggled. When they are ready for adoption, we carefully select the right permanent match, teach their new family how to continue the training, and support both dog and adopter so they can succeed together. Pathways has grown faster than we imagined. We now have a waitlist of dogs we are equipped to help, but no safe space to bring them. A permanent property would allow us to say yes to more dogs without sacrificing the individualized care that makes Pathways different. Our first $50,000 goal will move us toward acquiring and preparing that space. Your gift can help turn “we don’t have room” into “yes, we can help.”
