If you’ve ever been to one of our adoption events, chances are you’ve met BLUE! 💙Blue is a BIG ham with an even bigger heart. He loves just as hard as he is stubborn about going on walks (and trust us, that’s saying something!). He’s a familiar face at our events, always ready to soak up attention, give some love, and charm everyone he meets. Unfortunately, our sweet boy has hit a little bump in the road. We recently noticed a mass growing on Blue’s foot and brought him to the vet to have it examined. Based on the initial examination, the veterinarian suspects the mass may be cancerous. The good news? It appears to be localized! The recommended next step is to surgically remove the mass, which will also require amputating one of Blue’s toes. The estimate for his surgery is $917.32, and depending on how he adjusts to life with one less toe, he may also need some physical therapy afterward. Blue has so much love left to give, so many people left to charm, and apparently plenty more walks to stubbornly refuse! We’re hoping this surgery will be all our boy needs to put this scary chapter behind him. But first, we need your help. Our goal is to raise $917.32 to cover Blue’s surgery. Every dollar gets us one step closer to getting our big, lovable boy back on his feet (minus one little toe!).If you’ve ever met Blue, loved on Blue, or had the pleasure of watching him plant his feet and refuse to budge, we hope you’ll consider helping him. A little less toe, but every bit as much Blue. 💙Thank you for helping us give this sweet boy the care he deserves!
