Your Donation Supports Our Guiding Principles

Your donation supports our guiding principles, which include; housing is a human right, the solution to homelessness is homes, and supporting community collaboration and public education. We believe that policymakers must address systemic racism and the social and economic structures that deepen neighborhood inequity, and that appropriate investment broadens access to housing, safe communities, healthy food, good jobs, and community self-determination. All these principles can be made possible by your generous donation, of any size. We thank you for investing in our mission, vision, and principles.

Monthly Donations:

Become a member of the William Byron Rumford monthly donor circle! Your membership supports the change that is necessary to advocate for more affordable housing and to begin the repair of damage of decades of systemic racist policies and discrimination. The California Fair Housing Act of 1963, better known as the Rumford Act (AB 1240) was and is one of the most significant laws protecting the rights of people of color subjected to housing discrimination. William Byron Rumford stepped up to do what not many were willing to do. Rumford, a man of many accomplishments, is often overlooked. He was an advocate for civil rights, not just in California, but nationwide. He was also the author of the groundbreaking 1959 Fair Employment Practices Act. The impact of his work lives with us to this day. Please consider becoming a monthly donor and champion like William Rumford. Giving monthly provides ongoing support to our racial and social justice work focused on repairing the long history of housing discrimination.
