Michael R. Oldham, composer & pianist
Kristen Murray, vocalist
Sophie
Sophie
My darling, Sophie
Heaven is in your eyes
Lifetimes
Will not suffice, so
Eternally, I am yours
Labyrinths
Won’t keep you from me
I’ll find the surest route
Strong winds
Of change may wreck me
But I’ve got the
Will to carry through
Hear me out, Sophie
The truth just sounds so
Different when I take the time
To say it right
I’ll say it right to you
Give me time, Sophie
I’ll take every trip
Around the sun
With you
And that’s the truth
I’ll take that ride with you…
…if you let me,
Oh, Sophie
I always
Think you’re perfect
Never a flaw in sight
You can change yourself completely
And I will
Still kiss you goodnight
Tell me
What’s going through your mind
And I will tell you what’s on mine
I can settle
For the weather,
Or the time…
Still I’ll be with you
Sophie,
All your life.
Hmmm…
