Mission Statement

Keren Boruch Yitzchok / Lovesh Tzedakos was founded in memory of our dear friend R’ Baruch Yitzchok Berger A”H.  A beloved member of Hatzoloh, R’ Baruch Yitzchok cherished performing acts of Chesed, wanting nothing more than to put a smile on a suffering face.  To perpetuate the legacy of R’ Baruch Yitzchok’s memory, a group of his friends founded Keren Boruch Yitzchok / Lovesh Tzedakos 

Our mission is to provide Shabbos / Yom Tov clothing to children in need.

Since its inception, Keren Boruch Yitzchok / Lovesh Tzedakos has intervened to return dignity, pride and Shabbos joy to Yiddishe Kinderlach in need by providing them with beautiful brand-new Shabbos clothing for free.  Based on specific qualifications, each girl receives a Shabbos dress or outfit and a Shabbos robe, each boy receives a pair of pants and a shirt/ sweater. The distribution is done in a most discreet, dignified manner, so as not to cause any shame or discomfort. 

The information about these families is collected through notable Mosdos Hachinuch and through trusted referrals.

We work closely with a well-known clothing manufacturer in New York who provides us with top quality merchandise at below wholesale cost.

To date, we have given over 30,000girls and boys Shabbos clothes they are proud and happy to wear.  It’s a lot, but it’s not enough.  To meet the ever-growing need of Yiddishe families with precious Kinderlach whom they cannot afford to dress L’kavod Shabbos and Yomtov, we need your support and your dollars.  And we need them now!  Your contribution to Keren Boruch Yitzchok / Lovesh Tzedakoswill dress up a little girl to be a smiling Shabbos princess every week and clothe a boy with a Shabbos outfit, one that he will be proud to walk to shul in, 

Too many of our neighbors and their children face the shame and hardship of not having decent Shabbos clothing L’kavod Shabbos.  With your generous support to Keren Boruch Yitzchok / Lovesh Tzedakos  you will bring Oneg Shabbos, Shalom Bayis and true Simcha to innocent Yiddishe Kinderlach.  

BH' we have no overhead as our organization is run totally by volunteers, from the mailings and data entry to the deliveries and the fundraising. All ancillary costs are covered by private donations, so all monies collected goes directly to the clothing for the children.

We are publicly funded, relying totally on the generosity of Acheinu B’nai Yisroel.
