This donation will help to achieve our mission of empowering young adults aged sixteen to twenty-one who are experiencing homelessness in Waldo County, Maine, by providing these services:

PEX Visa Card Project:

prepaid Visa cards for essentials;

Driving School Support:

up to $600.

Youth Outreach Specialist:

When young adults seek financial assistance, our Youth Outreach Specialist meets with them to confirm their identity and assess their needs. In addition to providing a prepaid Visa card, the specialist shares information about additional resources.

Additionally, many young adults contact the Youth Outreach Specialist on behalf of others they believe could benefit from this assistance;

Homeless Prevention Initiative:

Numerous studies indicate that it is more cost-effective to prevent homelessness than to address it after it occurs. Our goal is to support individuals who may struggle to pay their rent due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, job loss, or other unexpected expenses.
