Last week, two things happened that I&#39;m still holding together.&nbsp; I marked 30 years of ministry to college students. And I lost my father, Steve Tweedy. My dad had a gift for generosity&mdash;the kind that gives away the shirt off his back and doesn&#39;t think twice. He turned his home into a second home for young men who needed one, becoming a father figure to more of my friends than I can count. His dying words to everyone who came to see him were the same four: &quot;Forgive all. Love all.&quot; That was my dad. And he was my ministry&#39;s biggest supporter for every one of the thirty years I&#39;ve done this work. I had the privilege of leading him to Christ and baptizing him myself when he was 57. I&#39;ve spent three decades since then doing for college students what I did for my own father: boldly presenting the evidence for God from science, philosophy, and history, training them to know the gospel, share it with their friends, and defend it with confidence. Most of that work happens on U.S. campuses; a handful of events each year take me overseas. Thirty years in, I don&#39;t know how to separate the milestone from the loss. Maybe I&#39;m not supposed to. Both are proof of the same thing: how deeply one life can alter the trajectory of another. So this year, my friend Joe suggested that instead of just marking an anniversary, we ask you to help fund the next one (see video above). Our goal is $30,000&mdash;$1,000 for every year&mdash;to fund upcoming campus outreach events: the large gatherings where students hear a case for the faith many have never encountered, and the training that equips them to carry it back to their dorms and dining halls.
