I am the beneficiary of this fundraiser, and every donation will go directly toward supporting my family and helping us survive this ongoing humanitarian and financial crisis. On July 31, 2024, armed settlers, accompanied by police, attempted to remove us from our land. We stood peacefully in nonviolent resistance alongside Israeli and Palestinian activists who came to support us. Despite our peaceful presence and our legal ownership documents, we were forcibly removed. Although we possess a legal land deed issued by the Israeli Civil Administration, the army declared the area a &quot;closed military zone,&quot; preventing us from accessing our own property while settlers were allowed to remain. Since then, my family and many dedicated volunteers have returned repeatedly to maintain a peaceful civilian presence on our land. During these efforts, we have faced violent responses, including the use of stun grenades, arrests of media workers, and restraining orders issued against my brother Jad and me. On September 4, 2024, more than 50 soldiers came to demolish our solidarity camp. They confiscated our tent and even removed our portable bathroom. Despite these repeated challenges, we continue returning because we refuse to abandon our land and our family&#39;s heritage. The Loss of Our Home and Livelihood My family has lived on this land for generations. In 2012, we built our family home and restaurant in Al-Makhrour. These were not only buildings&mdash;they were our source of income, our place of gathering, and our dream for a future on our land. Our home and restaurant were demolished by the Israeli army in 2019. Each time we rebuilt&mdash;in 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2019&mdash;we took loans because we believed in rebuilding and protecting our future. The destruction of our business cost our family our main source of income. We lost our livelihood, were forced to rent a home, and continued spending significant resources on legal battles to defend our land. During this difficult period, I suffered a serious motorcycle accident while trying to continue working and covering legal expenses, resulting in permanent life-changing injuries and additional hardship. The emotional impact has been devastating. My nephew, who was born in 2015, has watched the land where he once played become a place of fear and uncertainty. My father, Ramzi Kisiya, built our demolished home with his own hands. After losing our restaurant and income, he was unable to repay suppliers and now faces legal claims related to unpaid cheques. The financial pressure on our family has become overwhelming.
