Memo: Annual Campaign

Dear Friends, In 2025, more than ever, we’ve seen the incredible impact that meaningful, hands-on experiences in nature and science can have on children, families, and individuals of all ages. Thousands have explored the wonders of the natural world and connected with over 50 animal ambassadors at Hungerford Nature Center. At the heart of everything we do is our mission: to engage our community by sparking curiosity, nurturing understanding, and encouraging stewardship of our natural world. Whether it's walking our 22-acre trails, feeding our alpacas, discovering something new in our hands-on exhibits, or simply slowing down to observe the world around us, these moments help build a foundation for lifelong learning and a deep appreciation for nature. Your support makes these moments possible. Here’s how your gift can make an immediate and lasting difference:

$25 feeds our guinea pigs for a month

$50 provides an educator to lead a guided trail walk for families

$100 brings nature programs to children in high-need schools

$200 helps us refresh and maintain our exhibits for young children

$500 provides veterinary care for our goats, alpacas, and other animals

$1,500 buys all the pumpkins for our Pumpkin Palooza

$5,000 sponsors a summer camp educator for 8 weeks

With your generosity, we can continue to spark curiosity, nurture understanding, and grow a community of environmental stewards. Thank you for believing in our mission and being such a vital part of our community. We couldn’t do this without you. With heartfelt gratitude, Dr. Tami Christopher Executive Director New Britain Youth Museum and Hungerford Nature Center
