RooFriends is how that happens. We&#39;re the all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit that raises funds, recruits volunteers, supports teachers, builds community, and champions opportunities for all students at Roosevelt International Middle School. It costs $200,000 per year to:&nbsp;<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">have a librarian on campus four days per week instead of just one</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">provide free after-school enrichment offerings like tennis, contemporary music, and robotics</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">furnish gear and games in support of tech-free lunch</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">offer JV sports to students who don&#39;t make school teams</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">thank our dedicated teachers for all they do for our kids</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">host community events to foster belonging in a larger school, and</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">do everything else we do at RooFriends&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">The district funds none of this</li></ul>Spread across nearly one thousand students, $200,000 is $200 per student per year. Give $200 once, or $17 per month. Give $400 and cover a student whose family can&#39;t give this year. Give $600 and ignore our emails for the next three years.&nbsp; And if $200 isn&#39;t your number, give what works for your family. Some families give $5, some give $5,000. Every bit counts!
