A blue and purple lotus mandala with an Om symbol and circular text sits above the words "LOTUS HUMANITARIAN" against a plain light gray background.

For my birthday on October 22, I’m asking my friends and supporters to help me raise $5,000 for LOTUS Humanitarian—a mission that grew out of one of the hardest chapters of my life. I started LOTUS in 2020 with a simple goal: to help one man. Saral, a dear friend I met in India, devotes his life to spreading love and relieving suffering. During a time when I was struggling myself, his example reminded me that I still had something to give. What began as a way to support his work became a source of purpose and connection in my own life. Since then, I’ve met countless people who share that same calling. Many are brave, powerful women whose love of travel brings them into meaningful relationships with communities around the world. One of LOTUS’s earliest supporters and board members, Marjon Tondravi, went on to found She Dares to Wander, a sister organization focused on transformational travel that gives back. Through her efforts, we have connected with new global ambassadors across six countries who share our vision of a more compassionate world. Together, we support work that helps girls access education, provides food to people facing hunger, and empowers women and children. Our local partners lead this work with care and a deep understanding of their communities. Your donations help us continue supporting them and respond where help is needed. 100% of donations to LOTUS Humanitarian go to those in need. We are entirely volunteer run. We receive no salaries, and we pay our own travel expenses when visiting our projects. This birthday, it would mean so much to me to see the people I love come together around the mission that has brought such meaning to my life. Please help me reach $5,000 by October 22. Every gift is welcome, and sharing this fundraiser is another meaningful way to help. Thank you for being part of this story, and for helping us spread love and relieve suffering. With love and gratitude, Anya Learn more about the communities we serve at www.lotushumanitarian.com, and explore humanitarian travel at www.shedarestowander.com.
