At The Cat, we recognize your desire to make a meaningful impact in the arts and truly become a part of something extraordinary. You want to engage deeply and directly observe the effects of your generosity. The challenge is the overwhelming number of way to get involved, which can leave you feeling uncertain about how to best make your mark. This uncertainty can make it difficult to find a sense of true belonging in the community you with to support. We believe that every donor should not only see the impact of their contributions but also feel a profound connection to the artistic works they help bring to life. Supporters like you deserve a community that reflects your values and passions. We understand that in today's fast-paced world, finding a community where you genuinely belong can be challenging. That's why we are dedicated to creating a welcoming space that mirrors the values and passions of donors like you, ensuring your efforts are recognized and valued.

The Cat seeks to create experience in theater arts for people of all ages, abilities anddisabilities, experienced artists or the novice; and allowing everyone the opportunity. Thus, The Cat does not utilize a formal selection process for programs and events. We house something around 15 companies that use our space on a yearly basis outside of The Cat’s signature company, The Carmel Apprentice Theatre. To date, The Cat’s Apprentice Theatre productions have involved many under-served within the community by its openness to everyone. Specifically, everyone who signs up to participate is accepted with no requirement for audition. Individual assessments and discussions with participants about their interests provide the basis for placement in a role, on stage or on the production team. Persons with disabilities are interviewed to assure supports are provided. The community’s response to The Apprentice Theatre has significantly grown resulting in larger casts, additional performances and recognition of the need for local, affordable theatrical classes.
