NOT ALL TRADE IS FAIR!  Global Village helps marginalized and small artisans and farmers around the world through sales of their goods at our retail store in downtown Billings, Montana.  The majority of our merchandise is certified Fair Trade, ensuring 1) that makers keep more of their profits, work under safe conditions, and are not exploited, and 2) that their products are made and transported in ways that are good for people and good for the environment.  We also carry select Montana-made artisanal products and highlight the work of Montana artists through store events. After expenses, proceeds from the sales are reinvested in store operations and merchandise, allowing us to expand our offerings and give more marginalized people the ability to support their families and communities.  We also use a portion of proceeds for humanitarian and educational efforts locally and globally and for activities that increase cultural awareness understanding.
