Help a Child Start the School Year with Confidence! Every child deserves to walk into their classroom feeling excited, prepared, and confident. For children in foster care, however, the start of a new school year often comes after tremendous change. Many have entered a new home with very few belongings, while others are navigating new schools, new routines, and new emotions. Something as simple as a backpack they love, fresh school supplies, or a new pair of shoes can remind them that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved. Each year, The Fostering Foundation hosts our Back to School Bash, where children in care are invited to shop for their own backpack, choose a brand-new pair of shoes, receive school supplies, enjoy a fresh haircut, and celebrate the beginning of a new school year surrounded by a community that believes in them. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus and for reminding children in care that they are never forgotten. Together, we&#39;re not just filling backpacks&mdash;we&#39;re filling hearts with hope and showing every child that an entire community is cheering them on.
