I am reminded of when Sarah and I were called out into the ministry just 6 months into our marriage to an unfamiliar place to share the gospel, and the journey we've been on since has not always been easy, but God has been with us from the start until now. This is very risky and dangerous and they are already taking enough risk just sharing the gospel as it is.</li><li>Feeding the local people. We have worked with some local vendors to create some pretty awesome large-scale feedings and have documented these. Lots of fun for everyone and a great chance to share the hope of the gospel when you are filling their bellies first. </li><li>Building and completing the other parts of the local church space (past efforts included creating a fresh drinking water well, toilet, and plumbing for the church, etc). The church congregation works together to provide mostly free labor in combination with local skilled workers (where needed) to keep costs the absolute lowest.    Special Note: I want to say that Jamil and I speak regularly with a high focus on accountability and trust. Every dollar for each project is estimated down to dollars and cents, and overages are applied toward the needs of the people and in the continuation of the operation of this ministry. The needs of the operators are also a priority for me, as I believe the Father would have them taken care of as well, as they are extending themselves (above and beyond regularly) to care for others. I believe you have to put your own oxygen mask on in order to effectively help others, and these folks have a habit of helping the others first (even with their own food), to the point I have had to admonish them a few times about burnout. These folks are dedicated, and I've NEVER felt this comfortable giving to missionaries, but they are local missionary pastors and are out doing the WORK like it should be done.
