The Stroudsburg Lions Club is proud to dedicate its GIVING TUESDAY fundraiser to SAFE Monroe. SAFE Monroe serves as a safe haven for anyone affected by domestic and sexual abuse – of any sexual orientation, gender identity, age, economic status or cultural background. – in the Monroe County area. For over 42 years, they have provided free and confidential comprehensive support services to victims of domestic and/or sexual abuse, their families and significant others; prevention education and risk reduction programs in schools and the community, and training to the professionals and advocates who work with the victims of these crimes. SAFE Monroe’s Mission:  To provide a safe and caring environment that encourages healing and empowerment for anyone whose life has been impacted by domestic and sexual abuse. We strive to engage our community through awareness, advocacy, and prevention. The Stroudsburg Lions Club have been serving this, and the surrounding communities, since 1924.  We are caring people who have joined together, rolled up our sleeves and taken action to make our community better.  Being a Lion is about leading by example, building relationships and improving our communities. Stroudsburg Lions Club’s Mission Statement:  The Stroudsburg Lions, a club rich in a tradition and history, dedicates itself to providing its members with opportunities for personal enrichment through community service. The Stroudsburg Lions pledge that 100% of charitable money raised will be used to support individuals and organizations locally and worldwide achieve the goals of improved eye health, food security and other worthy goals.
