The Legacy of Ken Morris

William Kenneth (“Ken”) Morris passed away on January 2, 2024, after a two-year struggle with idiopathic lung disease. Ken was a leading national retail consultant, one of the founding members of Cambridge Retail Advisors, and a board member of the Boston Main Streets Foundation. Ken previously served as the founder and principal of Boston Retail Partners, the CEO and President of LakeWest Group, and the founder and CEO of Consumer Focus Technologies (CFT). Prior to founding CFT, Ken was a retail consultant at Deloitte & Touche and held various IT leadership positions at retailers including Filene’s and Lord and Taylor.

Ken was born and raised in Hyde Park, Massachusetts, and attended Boston Latin School and Boston University. Ken worked hard his entire life and passed away on the first official day of his retirement. Ken had a magnetic personality and quickly formed lifelong friendships with colleagues and clients who were inspired by his optimism and energy for new projects.

Ken is survived by his wife Adele Morris, his son Matthew Morris, his daughter Lillian Rees, and his grandchildren Soren Rees, Dorothy Rees, and William Morris. He is also survived by his sister Patricia Bowers, his nephew Stephen Morris, and Adele’s siblings, nieces, and nephews who loved him dearly.

Any donations received will go to the Boston Main Streets Foundation to continue Ken's tireless work and advocacy to support Boston's small businesses.
