At Black Girls Do Hike, we believe every woman deserves the opportunity to reconnect with herself, prioritize her health, and experience the joy and peace that nature brings. Founded by Malika, a working mother who found solace in the outdoors, our community was created to support Black women navigating the stress and exhaustion of daily life.Malika’s journey began with a simple yet profound realization: being in nature brought her joy and restored her mental and physical well-being. Recognizing that many Black women share her experiences—feeling overwhelmed, excluded from outdoor spaces, and in need of self-care—Malika created Black Girls Do Hike as a sanctuary for healing, connection, and empowerment.
Your Support Helps Us:
🌿 Provide Accessible Outdoor Adventures – From beginner-friendly hikes to mindfulness walks, we create opportunities for Black women to enjoy nature without barriers.💪🏾 Foster Health & Wellness – Through hiking and other outdoor activities, we promote physical fitness and mental health, creating space for relaxation, reflection, and joy.👭🏾 Build a Supportive Community – We offer a sisterhood of encouragement, where women can connect, share their stories, and uplift one another.🏕 Increase Representation in Outdoor Spaces – By empowering Black women to explore nature, we challenge stereotypes and create a more inclusive outdoor culture.
Our 2025 Goal: Raise $20,000 to:
✔ Fund hiking events and wellness programs tailored to Black women’s needs. ✔ Provide essential gear and transportation to ensure everyone can participate. ✔ Expand outreach to bring the benefits of nature to more women across the country.By donating to Black Girls Do Hike, you’re not just supporting outdoor activities—you’re helping to create a movement that empowers Black women to rediscover their strength, joy, and peace in the healing power of nature.🌿 Donate today and join us in building a stronger, healthier, and more connected community.
