Our Mission I&#39;m Blay Tarnoff, and I&#39;m running for Congress in New York&#39;s 4th District as a Libertarian because I believe government should have one core job: protecting the rights of citizens to build the lives they choose. I&#39;m not looking for a career in politics. After four decades as a computer systems programmer and analyst, a mathematics degree from Brown University, and a law degree from Pace, I&#39;ve spent my life solving problems by thinking clearly and starting from first principles. I want to bring that same approach to Washington&mdash;and then go home. For too long, the focus of government has been on getting people to look to government to solve every problem. That approach works better for politicians than it does for the rest of us. I want to shift the focus back to where it belongs: protecting your freedom to do what works best for you, your family, and your community.
