Lush green foliage and tall grasses fill the foreground in front of a red brick building with white trim and windows, while a dark roof and distant trees form the background.

Your gift helps transform Rotary Cottage into a safe, welcoming home for children at Boys & Girls Home. 💙 For many years, Rotarians across North Carolina have demonstrated their commitment to improving the lives of children through our support of the Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina in Whiteville. One of the most visible examples of that commitment is the Rotary Cottage, a home where children can experience stability, encouragement, and hope during some of the most challenging times in their lives. Today, we have an opportunity to renew that commitment. While the Rotary Cottage has served generations of children well, it is in need of significant restoration and modernization. Our goal is not simply to renovate a building, but to transform it into a warm, welcoming home that provides the comfort, dignity, and sense of belonging every child deserves. Similar cottages sponsored by Kiwanis and Lions have already been renovated and now provide a much more inviting, home-like environment. We believe the Rotary Cottage should reflect the same standard of excellence and care. Working together with Rotary District 7710, we have developed a comprehensive renovation plan with an estimated cost of approximately $225,000. Our objective is to secure these funds October 1, 2026, allowing construction to be completed before March 2027 so that the children who call the Rotary Cottage home can begin enjoying these improvements as soon as possible. This is more than a building project—it is an investment in children whose futures can be positively influenced by living in a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment. Together, we can create a lasting legacy that Rotarians throughout North Carolina will be proud to have made possible. Every donation—of any size—moves this project forward and supports Rotary District 7730’s commitment to the Boys & Girls Home of NC.
