The Congers Community Cafe is more than a cafe. As a social enterprise of Rockland Community Services, we provide real-world job training and employment for individuals of all abilities. Every drink poured and every snack served is a step toward independence, confidence, and meaningful work. We're open and already serving coffee, iced tea, and snacks right next to the pickleball courts — and the community response has been wonderful. Now we're ready for the next step: hot food. We're raising $1,500 for two pieces of kitchen equipment that will grow both our menu and our training program:🍕 Countertop Convection Oven — $350 Hot pretzels, fresh muffins, and pizza by the slice — plus hands-on food prep training for our team.🍦 Ice Cream Freezer — $1,100 Frozen treats after a match, for kids and grown-ups alike.Every new piece of equipment is a new skill our trainees can learn and a new way to serve our neighbors.Every dollar goes directly toward equipment. Anything raised beyond our goal supports cafe operations and our training programs.Rockland Community Services is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit — your donation is tax-deductible and you'll receive a receipt automatically.💛 You may see an optional tip to Zeffy at checkout. That's how the platform stays free for us, so 100% of your gift reaches the cafe — it's entirely optional and you can set it to zero.
