This family has been vetted and I have been working with them for over a month but I have no more resources to assist them.  During the hurricane, Brittany was pregnant with their 2nd child when their home took on flooding and water damage to the bathroom and part of the kitchen. The winds tore shingles off the roof and tree branches tore a hole in the kitchen ceiling.  On January 24th, Brittany gave birth to her 2nd child. There were complications with the birth and Brittany had severe postpartum hemorrhaging, requiring emergency surgery, The newborn baby girl was diagnosed with severe Necrotizing EnterColitis and has remained in NICU for 3 months.  Brittany also has a 15 month old son who was born with a cleft palate and has to have special attention for feeding, sleeping and 24 hour special care.  Brittany has to make multiple trips to Charlotte for specialists every month.  The most recent visit to the specialist for the cleft palate resulted in additional concerns requiring more specialist visits for the pulmonologist and the ENT.  Dad's job was ended because most of the accounts were washed away and there is no longer a need for their services in the area. Due to the health and special needs of the 15 month old, as well as having a baby in the NICU, both parents have to be available for the two children. Their day,  for the past three months, has involved both parents traveling to the hospital with the 15 month old who requires 24 hour special care where they take turns with their daughter in the NICU and caring for the 15 month old in a room at the hospital. They travel back home for meals and to allow the 15 month old to take a nap and then return to the hospital.  They have had several organizations who were going to offer support with repairs and bills but did not follow through. This family need support to get repairs made as well as support with bills, gas and food,   If you would like to support this family in any way, it will be greatly appreciated.
