THE FAMILY: In Bugiri, Uganda, eight children and their carer call a house home, built from the ground up by Uganda Land of Promise Foundation. It isn&#39;t a shelter. These children aren&#39;t recipients, they&#39;re our people, and like any family that believes in each other, we&#39;re building this together, one chapter at a time. THE OPPORTUNITY: The house exists. The children are there. The electricity is connected. What&#39;s missing is water. Right now they rely on a water hole on the property, already a huge improvement over the kilometers they used to walk for it, but this project brings a real water system straight to the house: a tower, a tank, and a pump.Alongside the water system, this funds the upgrades that turn a structure into a real home: window screens to keep mosquitoes out, lighting in every room, doors, tiling, and bathroom improvements.
