Mundeke Christian School is a charitable school created to support refugees with free kindergarten and primary school in Uganda. The school started in March 2023 in Kampala by Pastor Prince and Laurette Mundeke, both former refugees in Uganda and now American citizens after resettling in the USA as refugees in 2015. The couple visited Uganda for a mission trip and realized that many kids don't go to school because parents are choosing between feeding them and providing education for them. Many children are smart, but parents cannot afford to pay school fees. Being touched by the situation, the couple decided to help by creating the school. We now have 132 children and plan to have 250 by the end of this school year, 2025. The couple is unable to continue with the program in the capital city and has been given land in the Kyaka refugee camp to construct the school.
