Your donation makes history. The Alabama Department of Archives & History (ADAH) has launched a major capital project to expand and enhance the Museum of Alabama, the state history museum located at the ADAH in Montgomery. New exhibits will open in early 2026, when the agency will mark its 125th anniversary of service to the state and the 250th anniversary of the founding of the nation. Updates include: - A new Children’s Gallery  - A new gallery, Alabama Military Stories- Additions and upgrades in Alabama Voices, the Museum's centerpiece exhibit- New Native American exhibits in a new gallery, First Peoples of Alabama, and in Alabama Voices- Interior and exterior branding enhancements To support the project, a $3 million supplemental appropriation made by the Alabama Legislature in summer 2023 will be matched with private and corporate funds secured through the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Alabama Archives & History Foundation. We invite you to join us in supporting these new exhibits, which will not only help the Archives celebrate its 125th year of service well, but will also be a source of pride for Alabamians today and a wonderful resource for Alabamians in the future.
