He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, coach... Who we lost on September 1, 2024 at the age of 31 after a 14 year battle with the disease of addiction. Someone in the US dies every 5 minutes from overdosing. That&#39;s about 250 people every single day.&nbsp; Even in the depths of his battle with this disease, Thomas&#39;s caring, sensitive, beautiful soul shone through. It was clear he cared deeply for those around him and worked overtime to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome. He loved coaching soccer, reading, volunteering for the local rescue dog shelter, and any DIY project he could do with his hands. Thomas was an aid to his grandparents when they became ill and a huge support to his mom through her recent chemotherapy treatment - always on the look out for someone needing cheered up or just to be understood. We miss him overwhelmingly. We are devastated with grief and anger at the injustice of a health and rehabilitation system that values profit far higher than human life.&nbsp; In honor of him, we established this Thomas R Morrison Youth Impact Fund through The Healing Revolution 501c3 Nonprofit.&nbsp; This fund supports- At-risk teen/youth education on simple and effective emotional resiliency and nervous system regulation strategies- Equine therapy programs for at-risk youth- Community awareness/advocacy/education events Thank you for supporting our mission to change and save lives!
