A small sailboat with two people leans sharply in the choppy foreground water against a backdrop of distant hills and a soft pink sunset sky.

Cal Sailing has been competing since 1922 and needs your help to stay competitive! We’re a student-run, self-funded club team competing against fully funded varsity programs like Stanford. Running the team costs over $70,000 a year, and your gift helps close that gap and helps us beat the Cardinal on our home waters. We’ve just created our own 501c3, Friends of Cal Sailing. It’s up and running, and we’d love to launch it fully funded on January 1, 2027. Our launch fund goal is $27,000. With your donation we can:

Fund regatta travel across the coast and the nation ($23,500/yr)

Fund professional coaching ($22,000/yr)

Replace old dollies and rudders and maintain our fleet of FJs ($8,500/yr)

Cover RYC rent and conference dues ($8,000/yr)

Keep up with gear and the unexpected costs of a season ($13,000/yr)

A recurring gift helps us cover our annual expenses and plan the season with confidence. 100% of your donation goes to the team. Our platform asks for an optional tip at checkout, which you can set to $0. Thank you, and Go Bears!
