Help Goat Walkabouts Bring Jimbo's Tractor To Castle Rock So We Can Grow Some Crops For the Goats To Eat!
We have been gifted a very special tractor – my grandfather’s John Deere 620 LP.
This isn’t just any tractor; it’s a piece of our family history, filled with memories of hard work, stewardship, and love for the land. Now, we want to honor him by putting it to use to care for our rescued goats and community.
We’re raising $5,000 to cover:
🚚 Transportation Costs
Hauling Grandpa’s tractor from Quanah, Texas to our farm in Castle Rock, Colorado on a lowboy flatbed trailer. (we need to rent a lowboy)
🛠️ Service and Maintenance
Ensuring it runs safely and reliably so it can serve our goats and programs for many years to come.
🌱 Essential Attachments
2-bottom plow to prepare fields to grow nutritious forage for the goats
Bush hog to clear and maintain pastures
Small hay baler so we can bale our own hay, reducing feed costs and increasing sustainability
💛 Why This Matters
This tractor will empower Goat Walkabouts to:
✅ Grow and bale our own hay to feed our rescued goats
✅ Maintain safe, healthy pastures for grazing and enrichment
✅ Support our eco-friendly fire mitigation and land stewardship programs
✅ Carry on my grandfather’s legacy of caring for the land and animals
🙏 This is more than a fundraiser. It’s a way to bring Grandpa’s memory home, keep his spirit alive in our daily work, and strengthen our mission of goat rescue, therapy, and ecological stewardship.
Please help us reach our $5,000 goal so we can bring his tractor home and continue creating a better world for goats and the people who love them.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 💚
