The ULC Denver has the following 5 charitable funds for specific causes to which donations are directed:
You may choose to earmark your donation to one of these specific funds by browsing to their specific donation forms via the link or you can offer a donation to the General Fund by continuing with this form. While donations earmarked for the specific causes are used to facilitate the requirements of each charitable fund, donations to General Fund are placed into a general account that is used to supplement the needs of all of the charitable funds including administrative costs for work our sister non-profit organizations and partners perform on behalf.
What do we mean by supplement? When we have a specific application that results in ULC Denver agreeing to provide the applicant with a grant or micro loan and the charitable fund is low on dollars because of current operational costs or because of outstanding loans or grants that have been distributed, we will pull dollars from the General Fund to cover the approved expenses of the applicant.
We may additionally pull dollars from the General Fund to cover administration costs for the charitable funds such as but not limited to fees or subscription, which allows us to distribute more to applicants rather than limit those distributions based on those administrative costs. We may also use the General Fund to cover costs associated with administering events or programs that benefit the charitable funds such as fundraisers or conference representations.
Because we are registered as a church with the IRS, donations to ULC Denver are 100% tax-deductible.
