Lake Las Vegas Dragon Boat Club is a public charity formed for the purpose of fostering and promoting dragon boat racing and supporting and developing amateur athletes for competitions. Originating in China over 2000 years ago, dragon boat racing evolved all over the world as a great way for people of any skill level to participate in a strength and endurance building team activity.Multiple studies show the benefits of dragon boat racing for breast cancer survivors recovering from surgery. The sport offers not only physical benefits, but also psychological. Practicing on beautiful Lake Las Vegas can relieve stress, improve mood, and increase energy. The Club seeks to promote dragon boat in Las Vegas and bring these incredible benefits to the community. The Club is committed to community service, sportsmanship, and camaraderie and is exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3).
