On June 15th, 2024, the choruses of the Mile High Chapter are partnering with the Mapleton School District to host a young singer's day camp. This day camp is a one day immersion into the world of barbershop harmony for middle and high school singers and their Music Educators. Attendees will experience the very best of a Capella singing in the barbershop style taught by outstanding clinicians and quartets! It’s an excellent way for students to gain part independence, develop ear-training skills, learn about and experience singing a purely American musical art form, and sing in concert with their peers! Music educators will gain solid, usable teaching ideas and discover ways to generate excitement and attract singers to their program. In 2024, we are excited to welcome Clever Girl Quartet as our featured clinicians! (<a href="https://www.facebook.com/clevergirlquartet/">https://www.facebook.com/clevergirlquartet/</a>)  At the end of the camp, the singers will be invited to sing on the show that evening were you can see everything that they have done for the day and get a great performance by Sound of the Rockies, The Timberliners, Clever Girl and a few other groups. With your help, we can make this a free event for young singers of all voices. We need your help to make sure we can keep this event free of charge to the singers, making it available to as many singers as we can pack into the room! With music programs in our schools declining in funding support, the Sound of the Rockies and The Timberliners are tying to make sure young people can enjoy singing for life!
