This donation will help a lot to achieve our mission. We'll be able to provide a vast community garden, consisting of over 250 individual plots, in Shelby county to residents and bridge the gap when access to school meals is limited for many youth. Our vision is to promote healthier lifestyles, provide activities for families, build stronger communities through outreach, and provide opportunities for learning and stress relief. We plan to set our participants up for success by providing a 10 feet by 10 feet plot, plot securement, seeds, basic gardening tools, and education needed for a plentiful harvest. The garden will be under 24 hour video surveillance thereby providing a safe environment to focus on overall well-being, body and mind, while bringing healthy options to dinner tables across the Mid-South.
