One of the students at PowerfulKids Experience (https://powerfulkids.com/) has taken on a pretty big community project. At just 13 years old, his goal is to raise $5,000 for Veterans Memorial Ski Area to help improve snowmaking and move the mountain closer to getting a new T-bar. Why? Because Veterans isn’t just a ski hill. It gives local kids and families an affordable place to get outside, learn to ski and snowboard, build confidence, make friends, and become part of an incredible community. And he wants to help make sure the next group of kids gets that same opportunity. THE CHALLENGE PKX students are being challenged to raise $25 each. Our Level 3 students are stepping up to raise $50 each. And we’re inviting local businesses to contribute $100 or more and help these kids make a BIG impact. This is exactly what we want our students learning:Not just how to become stronger themselves, but how to use that strength to make their community stronger too. $5,000 is a big goal for a 13-year-old. Let’s show him what can happen when a community gets behind a kid willing to lead. If you’d like to contribute or have your business be part of the project, send us an email hello@powerfulkids.com, drop checks off at Bessie Rowell Community Center made payable to Franklin Outing Club, or make a donation here online.
