As the co-founders of this project, we are two high school students that have always been extremely invested in healthcare. Despite our age, we have observed and experienced the disparities that exist even in our own community. Even among the youngest children in Baldwin County, we have seen firsthand how gaps in affordable healthcare and accessible STEM education can impact physical, emotional, and even academic well-being.&nbsp; Through our months of research, we found that southern Alabama communities- particularly rural and underserved areas- have some of the lowest percentages of health-insured civilians. These inequities motivated us to act. We founded Bridge to Health with a mission to not only offer affordable health services and resources, but also to empower youth through education and opportunity.
