Friends Of Parkside (FOP) has received a cease-and-desist letter from the Detroit Housing Commission and Ginosko Development Company threatening eviction and legal action.We strongly dispute the allegations. For over 35 years, we have provided essential community voice and services for Parkside residents &mdash; including food assistance, youth programs, health &amp; safety fairs, senior support, and digital literacy and internet access &mdash; while engaging in lawful advocacy during the redevelopment process.We have set a goal of $35,000 to cover immediate legal fees, attorney costs, and related expenses so we can continue our vital community voice and services.
