Free Arts Camps Changed Hundreds of Young Lives. For the last four years, Boc&oacute;n and Roots and Wings Global Arts have provided free summer arts camps for hundreds of San Diego youth through the Level Up Grant. This year, that funding was discontinued, leaving many families without access to the joyful and empowering arts experiences their children have come to love. Many families reached out hoping to return to the camp this year and we don&#39;t want to turn them away! One 5th Grader Decided to Take Action.One of Ms. Cybele&#39;s students is doing her fifth grade exhibition project on how important dance opportunities have been in her life. She realized that many kids cannot continue to pursue their love of dance in the summer or outside of school and she wanted to make a difference.&nbsp; Kate Raised Enough for Two Scholarships!Kate created a lemonade stand, bake sale and fundraiser to help send kids to the Roots and Wings camp for free! Thanks to Kate, two kids are signed up for camp with a scholarship!&nbsp; Her generosity, leadership, and initiative inspired all of us. Now We&rsquo;re Launching the Kate Witter Scholarship FundIn honor of Kate&rsquo;s incredible example, we are raising funds to help more young people experience dance, creativity, confidence, and community this summer.
