The second annual <a style="text-decoration-color:currentcolor;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit">StarsToDocs.org</a> Summer STEM Program will be a two-week event for selected "star" students who want to spend the first two weeks of their summer as part of a highly motivated group of twenty-four STEM-enthused 8th graders from the City of Philadelphia. The cohort of 8th grade students will become an "academic family" in pursuit of academic excellence. The cohort will be divided into teams, with each team vying for top honors when tested for knowledge of physics and biology. Students will be encouraged to read books, and each student will take home several selected books for summer reading. The cohort of "star" students will be encouraged to collaborate virtually during the school year, and they will be invited to re-convene monthly on Zoom to meet outstanding professionals in healthcare and STEM.
