Silver Santas started almost 20 years ago as a grassroots, all-volunteer project. It has grown into a beloved local tradition, still all-volunteer.&nbsp; The bags are created from &quot;Tags&quot; for each senior, with three items they&rsquo;ve requested&mdash;practical things like non-slip slippers, blankets, clothing, toiletries, books or puzzles&mdash;highlighting any special needs or preferences and possibly a special request.
