Help Us Tell the Story Eloheh Was Born to Tell The Short VersionErik Ewers &mdash; one of the most respected documentary filmmakers in America, thirty years alongside Ken Burns &mdash; looked at what Edith and I have been building at Eloheh and said something that stopped us cold. He said we&rsquo;re living out what Henry David Thoreau only dreamed of. And he wants to film it. He and his brother Chris are bringing their crew to Eloheh Farm this June. The goal is a documentary short film worthy of Sundance &mdash; and beyond. We raised almost $17,000 in 60 days to make it happen fully. This got the 4 days of filming done right.&nbsp; An update, with gratitude &mdash; filming at Eloheh wrapped in June. Because of that first fundraising campaign, the story got caught right there on the land, with Edith and me and the community around us who actually live this work, teach it, carry it day to day. Now comes the editing room, less glamorous than filming but where the real shaping happens. Going through all those hours of footage and interviews, we&#39;re finding the story settling into three parts: the Harmony Way, the land as teacher, and the circle and the table, the places people find belonging and where healing actually happens. One more short trip is planned for the fall, to catch the land at harvest &mdash; seemed only right that the last footage comes from that season, not just the planting and growing. Our hope is a film that travels well past Eloheh, out to people looking for land, community, healing, a way back into right relationship.Help us carry this seed to harvest.
