District 11 Committee Statement of Purpose:&nbsp;District 11 is a service committee consisting of AA members from Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, along with parts of Wexford and Antrim counties of Northern Michigan. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.&nbsp; To achieve our primary purpose, we act as a liaison between AA and the professional community, correctional facilities, and treatment facilities. We also represent our district with the Western Michigan Area Assembly. As a further means of achieving our primary purpose, we elect officers and committee chairs whose purpose is to help implement our service goals. We also provide a forum where individuals, GSRs, DCMs, and representatives of other AA service bodies can ask questions, discuss problems, offer solutions, and share information. Finally, we as a service committee feel a responsibility to read and follow the Twelve Concepts for World Service, and the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous.&nbsp;
