Old leather-bound books rest on a wooden table in the foreground, with a blurred bookshelf and soft greenery in the background.

A worn siddur. A treasured sefer. Pages that have carried generations of Torah and tefillah deserve lasting care. Genizah HaKodesh is developing a respectful, halachically guided service for Florida communities: clearly marked collection boxes, protected handling, planned pickup and replacement, and appropriate burial of sheimos. With Hashem’s help, we hope this can become a lasting communal legacy. Our founding campaign is $360,000, in three clear stages: 1. PROPERTY AND CLOSING — $160,000The first allocation is for acquiring the property and completing the closing. First cumulative fundraising milestone: $160,000. 2. INITIAL IMPROVEMENTS — $100,000The next allocation prepares the site for its intended use, based on approvals and written quotes. Second cumulative fundraising milestone: $260,000. 3. EQUIPMENT — $100,000The final allocation equips the collection, handling and burial service. Final cumulative fundraising milestone: $360,000. These are planned budget allocations, not completed work or guaranteed costs. Purchase terms and the final closing statement will determine the amount needed to close; improvement and equipment costs will be confirmed with quotes. Received gifts, outstanding pledges and completed work will be reported separately. Collection has not begun, and a property has not been purchased. Any site and burial operations remain subject to rabbinic guidance and the necessary professional reviews and permissions. Your gift helps build this service carefully, one clear step at a time. Register your community’s interest at houseoftorahradio.com/genizah. Thank you for helping preserve the kavod of our sacred words.
