Eden&rsquo;s Rise is a Missouri 501(c)(3) Adaptive Oasis for adults with cognitive, medical, and significant support needs.&nbsp; Those we support are unable to have competitive employment due to their complex needs. &nbsp;Fixed government financial support does not cover basic needs, support staff, or the adaptations that make a home safe and usable. &nbsp; Eden is the picture of a place that fits human life &mdash; abundant and livable. Rise is what we do: we keep growing to meet the need, and we redesign the environment so adults with disabilities are no longer held down by homes and tools built for someone else. A bird is not failing when it cannot live underwater. The setting is wrong. We build the garden so people can rise. We already support residents in our growing micro-village and in private homes. We provide environmental modifications, daily-living adaptations, and meaningful-day supports. The micro-village includes gardens, small animals, sensory-friendly spaces, reading nooks, fitness and therapy rooms, and a pool being adapted for safe use. Residents plant and tend gardens, care for animals, swim, create art, use sensory-friendly theater rooms, read, and join fitness and therapy. These are not extras. They help people regulate, grow, and see that their time and ability can produce something beautiful. We shape the home, the day, and the tools around the person &mdash; not the other way around. Phase 1 goal: $100,000 for ADA household updates, critical care, and adaptive installations for people we serve right now. Full Adaptive Village vision: $3 million to secure land and build a complete oasis &mdash; no-step homes, wide smooth paths for walking, biking, adult tricycles, and golf carts, a cottage store for what residents grow and make, adaptive recreation and sport, music and theater, and a full life without barriers.
