Most shelters won&rsquo;t take them, and few people are willing to give them a chance. What starts as a backyard experiment or a school hatching project too often ends with abandonment. This isn&rsquo;t just a rural issue. It&rsquo;s a reflection of something deeper: how our systems treat animals as disposable, how male animals are deemed &ldquo;useless,&rdquo; and how even the most spirited lives are overlooked when they don&rsquo;t serve a purpose. The Rooster Project was created to push back against that. We rescue unwanted roosters and give them what every being deserves&mdash;safety, care, and a chance to simply exist.
