Thank you for your continued and new support of A Legacy of Excellence College Scholarship program. The A Legacy of Excellence (ALOE) scholarship committee provides scholarships to graduating African American students within the Tucson Unified School District who have achieved academically, are active in their community, and aspire to pursue higher education. It’s a great cause that has shown tangible results. Here is a video of recent recipients that shows how impactful the scholarship is. Please consider contributing to A Legacy of Excellence College Scholarship through this link - www.aloetucson.org - where you will also find more information about the organization. Your charitable gift is eligible for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit (different than the public and private school tax credits) because of ALOE’s partnership with the Educational Enrichment Foundation (EEF), an Arizona Qualifying Charitable Organization (QCO) (EEF’s QCO code is 20070). This powerful tax credit lets you reduce your 2026 state taxes dollar for dollar - up to $1,009 if married/filing jointly or $506 if single, head of household, or married filing separately. On May 1, 2027 at the University of Arizona Student Union Ballroom, the ALOE scholarship committee will hold its 17th annual scholarship banquet. This year we will award ten (10) $5000 scholarships plus laptops, and other amenities to the winners. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank YOU. Your consideration is much appreciated!
